Amazing trip in Cappadocia
My university organized our first trip to Cappadocia. We took a bus for ten hours to finally arrive in an incredible desert. Cappadocia is located in the middle of Turkey. The Cappadocians reportedly occupied a region from Mount Taurus to the vicinity of the Euxine (Black Sea). Cappadocia, in this sense, was bounded in the south by the chain of the Taurus Mountains that separates it from Cilicia, to the east by the upper Euphrates, to the north by Pontus, and to the west by Lycaonia and eastern Galatia.
We visited the entire valley and I learnt to make a traditional Turkish vase with clay. We went to a Turkish bath, it was the first time I experienced the sauna, hammam, and being washed by someone else! And of course I appreciated the twenty minutes of massage a lot and the relaxing tea at the end. In the morning we woke up at 5 a.m. to see the balloon flying away. It was the most magical experience of my life...
